Going outside for some fresh air is one of the great joys of the summertime. But with that sun beating down on you? Oof, it can do some damage to your skin. Alex Drummond knows that all too well. "We inherited my mom's fair skin, and from day one she has stressed the importance of wearing sunscreen," she notes. And as part of her summer skincare routine, she applies it everyday. But at peak daylight, sometimes that just isn't enough.

Alex popped onto Instagram to share her other secret to protecting her face from that big star in the sky, and it happens to be quite fashionable as well: a trucker hat! While her love of hats is well documented, she wanted to call out her "favorite trucker hats of all time" which she also calls her "favorite hat in general." "This is just an extra layer of protection on these hot summer days," she explains. "I wear them a lot when I'm just going on a walk or run or going outside. They're good to keep the sun out of your face."
